Ok all I have been very bad with my diet, a point underscored by the lack of fitness updates on this blog. I am committing myself to getting fit and healthy. This was spurred on a bit by my husband who kind of called me out on this yesterday. A part of a healthy relationship is calling each other on your stuff. It’s nice to have him care enough to push me to meet my goals. That said I am not going to dwell on all the reasons why I haven’t done what I need to. They are nothing that you haven’t heard before. I won’t bore you with that, instead I am going layout my plan and goals.
First off, I want to layout my goals for you. I am 5’11.75″ and now weigh 180 pounds. I want to weigh 140 pounds so I’m looking to shed 40 lb. I recently purchased the Tone it Up Nutrition Plan and I am really glad I did. I will be starting with their 7 Day introductory plan and going from there. I will weigh in every week and let you know how I am progressing. That’s a bit nerve wrecking but like I said I am making a commitment so please be kind in your judgements. I really like the Tone it Up Nutrition Plan so far. I got the regular version and have already lost 9 lb. If you are on the fence about getting it I’ll just share this information with you. I live in an area where getting specialty foods is not easy so I was concerned that my local store wouldn’t carry some of the required food but so far I haven’t needed anything I couldn’t get a Wal-Mart, the closest bigger store to us. It is a clean eating diet but it’s also a in my opinion a healthy eating regimen. I worried that the protein powder they sell along with the diet plan would be something I would have to put in everything and I wasn’t sure I’d like using it in recipes. Well I do like it and I was happy to find that a lot of the recipes don’t call for it. If you follow the plan you will need to buy it for several of the recipes but not enough that it’s overbearing. I have tried some new foods with the plan like quinoa and I have purchased chia seeds to try. You might find yourself expanding your palate a bit. We’ll see how I progress on the plan as I move forward.
As for the Tone it Up workouts these are fun workouts. I find them a bit challenging as a beginner but I am determined to keep working on them. If you’d like to check out their workouts they have a YouTube channel with lots of free workouts. They also have several workout DVDs.
