Just a short update this week. Though it was a mostly fun week it was a simple week. The highlight of the week was definitely our trip to the local Library for storytime!
This week the local Fire Department came to visit the kids for storytime. They kids loved the big red trucks and the firemen were great at engaging them. They answered questions and gave a tour of the fire trucks. Even the adults learned a thing or two we didn’t know before. At least I did! The firemen gave the children the opportunity to use the firehose and everyone got a chance to play in the water for a few minutes.
All of this after hearing stories about firemen and learning about what to do in a fire. The kids really learned a lot while they were having a good time. Our fire department is made up of volunteers and we are certainly grateful for their dedication, time and service.
The weather has been pretty good recently and so Little J has been on a few walks with mom and dad. On the way we have been collecting pebbles and things that strike our son’s fancy and keeping them in little bags. We are trying to keep the things our son gives us as they are all he has in the world to share. This is something Josh learned from a friend on Facebook and loved the idea so much we’ve adopted it ourselves.
That’s it really. Just the simple things…
